Update of September 4 Regarding COVID-19 Infection

The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 768,295 after additional 1,024 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on September 4, 2021. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 725,651 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 94.5% along with 2,195 latest recovered.

According to the Ministry, 6,753 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Out of the total number of tests conducted on September 4, 15% were diagnosed positive and overall there were 19.5% people diagnosed positive till now.

Till now, the death toll has reached 10,818. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 9 people died on September 4. There are 31,826 people in home isolation. Morang, Sunsari, Jhapa, Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Chitwan, Makwanpur, Kavrepalanchok, Sindhupalchowk, Nuwakot, Nawalparasi East, Baglung, Kaski, Gorkha, Syangja, Tanahu, Dang, Rupandehi, and Surkhet have more than 500 active cases.

On September 3, 3,122 people were tested through the antigen process among which 244 were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 84,937 people have been diagnosed positive with antigen process. The number of infected, cured, and active cases has not been separated into this number. According to the ministry, 4,863,835 people have been fully vaccinated till September 4.
