Update of September 4 Regarding Corona Virus Infection

On September 4, an additional 1,359 cases were diagnosed with which there are now 44, 236 corona virus-infected people in Nepal. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 25,561 have been discharged after recovery. On September 4, 1,354 were discharged. Out of the total number of infected, 57.8% have recovered. At present, there are 18,404 people being treated in different hospitals nationwide. Till now, the death toll has reached 271. According to the Ministry, in the past 24 hours, 13,638 swabs were tested.

In Province 2,

According to the District Representative of Saptari, Manohar Kumar Pokharel, a 50-year-old man from Rajgad Rural Municipality-6 died at the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan on September 3 at 2 pm. It has taken more than 24 hours to manage the body. Initially, no one was ready to bring the body, after 24 hours, on September 4, the body was brought and buried in the garden of the deceased.

According to the District Representative of Dhanusha, Dipendra Prasad Singh, a 65-year-old man living in Kshireshwar Nath Municipality-3, originally from Andhra Pradesh, India died on September 4. He had been working here for four years. His body was found in his own residence on September 3. He had been suffering from fever and cough for four days and died at his residence. A team of Nepal Army of Srinath Battalion at Mahendranagar of Kshireshwarnath Municipality on September 3 has managed the body.

According to the District Representative of Bara, Bholnath Poudel, a 57-year-old man from Nijgadh Municipality-9 died at the Sumeru Hospital in Lalitpur on September 4 while undergoing treatment. He had been undergoing treatment for kidney disease for a month.

In Bagmati Province,

On September 4, 386 corona patients were diagnosed in Kathmandu, 36 in Bhaktapur and 32 were diagnosed in Lalitpur. There were total of 454 new cases diagnosed on September 4, in the valley.

According to the District Representative of Chitwan, Dipendra Adhikari, the District Administration Office has decided to make the prohibition flexible from September 5 and extend it till September 16. A meeting held at the District Administration Office on September 4, decided to relax the prohibition in the afternoon. Assistant Chief District Officer Netra Prasad Sharma said that it has been decided to operate grocery shops, construction materials shops, fancy and clothing shops from 10 am to 4 pm.

In Province 5,

According to the District Representative of Rupandehi, Rima BC, a 78-year-old man of Butwal Sub-metropolitan-8 died on September 4 while undergoing treatment at the Corona Special Temporary Hospital. Similarly, a 64-year-old woman of Sidhartha Municipality-7 died at Gautam Buddha Community Heart Hospital and a 45-year-old man of the same municipality died at Bhim Hospital Bhairahawa on September 4.

According to the District Representative of Pyuthan, Rabindra Pandey, the prohibition imposed on the district since August 28 has been extended for another week. A meeting of the COVID Crisis Management Committee held at the District Administration Office on September 3 to control and prevent corona infection has decided to impose the prohibition till September 10, said Assistant Chief District Officer Gaurav Panthi. The decision of opening shops selling daily necessities from 7 am to 10 am by adopting safety measures keeping consumers in mind.

In Karnali Province,

According to the District Representative of Jumla, Mandatta Rawal, 19 people, including employees of the administration office and frontline workers, have been infected with corona.  Corona infection was found at Karnali Institute of Health Sciences Teaching Hospital, Jumla on September 3. During the outbreak of the coronavirus, the officer who was at the forefront of protecting the lives of the people became infected with the virus, said the official through social media on September 6. Attended the meeting of the District Disaster Management Committee
