Update of September 3 Regarding COVID-19 Infection

The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 767,271 after additional 1,357 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on September 3, 2021. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 723,456 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 94.3% along with 2,274 latest recovered.

According to the Ministry, 9,773 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Out of the total number of tests conducted on September 3, 14% were diagnosed positive and overall there were 19.5% people diagnosed positive till now.

Till now, the death toll has reached 10,809. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 23 people died on September 3. There are 33,006 people in home isolation. Morang, Sunsari, Jhapa, Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Chitwan, Makwanpur, Kavrepalanchok, Sindhupalchowk, Nuwakot, Nawalparasi East, Baglung, Kaski, Gorkha, Syangja, Tanahu, Dang, Rupandehi, and Surkhet have more than 500 active cases.

On September 3, 4,561 people were tested through the antigen process among which 399 were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 84,639 people have been diagnosed positive with antigen process. The number of infected, cured, and active cases has not been separated into this number. According to the ministry, 4,795,373 people have been fully vaccinated till September 3.
