Update of September 29 Regarding COVID-19 Infection

The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 794,163 after additional 892 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on September 29, 2021. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 764,847 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 96.3% along with 1,113 latest recovered.

According to the Ministry, 10,652 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Out of the total number of tests conducted on September 29, 8% were diagnosed positive and overall there were 18.9% people diagnosed positive till now.

Till now, the death toll has reached 11,123. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, eight people died on September 29. There are 18,193 people in home isolation. Morang, Sunsari, Jhapa, Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Makwanpur, Kaski, and Rupandehi, have more than 500 active cases.

On September 29, 3,889 people were tested through the antigen process among which 265 were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 91,373 people have been diagnosed positive with antigen process. The number of infected, cured, and active cases has not been separated into this number. According to the ministry, 6,238,001 people have been fully vaccinated till September 29.
