The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 793,271 after additional 904 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on September 28, 2021. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 763,734 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 96.3% along with 1,318 latest recovered.

According to the Ministry, 11,672 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Out of the total number of tests conducted on September 28, 8% were diagnosed positive and overall there were 18.9% people diagnosed positive till now.

Till now, the death toll has reached 11,115. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 12 people died on September 28. There are 18,422 people in home isolation. Morang, Sunsari, Jhapa, Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Makwanpur, Kaski, and Rupandehi, have more than 500 active cases.

On September 28, 2,331 people were tested through the antigen process among which 254 were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 91,108 people have been diagnosed positive with antigen process. The number of infected, cured, and active cases has not been separated into this number. According to the ministry, 6,205,770 people have been fully vaccinated till September 28.
