Update Of September 28 Regarding Corona Virus Infection

The number of COVID-19 infected people have reached 74,745 after additional 1,351 new cases detected positive in Nepal on September 28, 2020. Out of them, 20,230 are females. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 54,640 have been discharged after recovery. On September 28, the rate of recovery reached 73.1% along with the 742 latest discharged after treatment. The ministry reported that 19,642 people are being treated. Till now, the death toll has reached 481. According to the Ministry, 10,080 number of swabs tests were conducted in the past 24 hours.

According to the ministry, 22,326 people have been diagnosed COVID-19 positive in the three districts of Kathmandu Valley, out of which 11,764 have been cured and 10,428 are undergoing treatment. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 134 people died.

In Province 2

According to Saptari Representative Manohar Kumar Pokhrel, the Agnisayir Krishnasawaran rural municipality office has been sealed until further notice after an employee was diagnosed positive to COVID-19. Bhogendra Prasad Yadav, chief of the administration of the rural municipality, said that all the services of the office would be closed until further notice.

According to Dhanusha Representative Dipendra Prasad Singh, a 65-year-old man of Balabakhar in Shahid Nagar Municipality-1 died on September 27 due to COVID-19. The man was admitted to the Janakpur Provincial Hospital for treatment on September 26 after he was found to have respiratory problems. According to the Directorate, the body was managed by a Nepal Army team in coordination with the local level.

In Province 5,

According to Banke Representative Smriti Devkota, a 47-year-old man of Nepalgunj sub-metropolitan-9 died on September 26 due to COVID-19, informed Naresh Babu Shrestha, focal person of District Health Office, Banke. The deceased had both pneumonia and diabetes. He was undergoing treatment at Kohalpur Teaching Hospital in isolation due to health problems.

In Sudur Pachim Province

According to Kailali Representative Mainamoti Chaudhary, a 62-year-old woman of Dhangadhi sub-metropolitan -1 died due to COVID-19 while undergoing treatment at Seti Provincial Hospital, Dhangadhi. The woman, who was admitted to the hospital on September 23 due to respiratory problems, was confirmed to have COVID-19 since September 26.

According to Achham Representative Shivaraj Dhungana, it has been decided to seal the Bannigadhi Jayagardh rural municipality area from September 29 to October 4 after a 34-year-old man of Warda Devi died due to COVID-19.
