Update of September 27 Regarding COVID-19 Infection

The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 792,376 after additional 975 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on September 27, 2021. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 762,416 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 96.2% along with 1,262 latest recovered.

According to the Ministry, 12,081 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Out of the total number of tests conducted on September 27, 8% were diagnosed positive and overall there were 19% people diagnosed positive till now.

Till now, the death toll has reached 11,103. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, seven people died on September 27. There are 18,848 people in home isolation. Morang, Sunsari, Jhapa, Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Makwanpur, Kaski, and Rupandehi, have more than 500 active cases.

On September 27, 3,407 people were tested through the antigen process among which 307 were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 90,854 people have been diagnosed positive with antigen process. The number of infected, cured, and active cases has not been separated into this number. According to the ministry, 6,165,052 people have been fully vaccinated till September 27.
