Update of September 26 Regarding COVID-19 Infection

The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 791,392 after additional 730 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on September 26, 2021. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 761,154 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 96.1% along with 1,279 latest recovered.

According to the Ministry, 8,589 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Out of the total number of tests conducted on September 26, 8% were diagnosed positive and overall there were 19% people diagnosed positive till now.

Till now, the death toll has reached 11,096. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, nine people died on September 26. There are 19,142 people in home isolation. Morang, Sunsari, Jhapa, Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Makwanpur, Kaski, and Rupandehi, have more than 500 active cases.

On September 26, 5,147 people were tested through the antigen process among which 104 were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 90,547 people have been diagnosed positive with antigen process. The number of infected, cured, and active cases has not been separated into this number. According to the ministry, 6,036,401 people have been fully vaccinated till September 26.
