Update of September 24 Regarding COVID-19 Infection

The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 789,872 after additional 1,103 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on September 24, 2021. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 758,504 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 96.03% along with 1,505 latest recovered.

According to the Ministry, 10,575 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Out of the total number of tests conducted on September 24, 10% were diagnosed positive and overall there were 19% people diagnosed positive till now.

Till now, the death toll has reached 11,081. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, nine people died on September 24. There are 20,287 people in home isolation. Morang, Sunsari, Jhapa, Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Makwanpur, Kaski, and Rupandehi, have more than 500 active cases.

On September 24, 5,115 people were tested through the antigen process among which 373 were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 90,280 people have been diagnosed positive with antigen process. The number of infected, cured, and active cases has not been separated into this number. According to the ministry, 5,946,022 people have been fully vaccinated till September 24.
