Update of September 23 Regarding COVID-19 Infection

The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 788,769 after additional 941 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on September 23, 2021. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 756,954 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 96% along with 1,324 latest recovered.

According to the Ministry, 11,629 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Out of the total number of tests conducted on September 23, 8% were diagnosed positive and overall there were 19.1% people diagnosed positive till now.

Till now, the death toll has reached 11,072. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 13 people died on September 23. There are 20,743 people in home isolation. Morang, Sunsari, Jhapa, Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Makwanpur, Kaski, and Rupandehi, have more than 500 active cases.

On September 23, 3,614 people were tested through the antigen process among which 298 were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 89,907 people have been diagnosed positive with antigen process. The number of infected, cured, and active cases has not been separated into this number. According to the ministry, 5,860,929 people have been fully vaccinated till September 23.
