Update of September 21 Regarding COVID-19 Infection

The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 786,577 after additional 1,036 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on September 21, 2021. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 754,000 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 95.9% along with 1,830 latest recovered.

According to the Ministry, 9,626 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Out of the total number of tests conducted on September 21, 11% were diagnosed positive and overall there were 19.1% people diagnosed positive till now.

Till now, the death toll has reached 11,053. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, five people died on September 21. There are 21,524 people in home isolation. Morang, Sunsari, Jhapa, Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Makwanpur, Kaski, and Rupandehi, have more than 500 active cases.

On September 21, 3,969 people were tested through the antigen process among which 294 were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 89,382 people have been diagnosed positive with antigen process. The number of infected, cured, and active cases has not been separated into this number. According to the ministry, 5,628,792 people have been fully vaccinated till September 21.
