Update of September 18 Regarding COVID-19 Infection
The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 783,910 after additional 835 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on September 18, 2021. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 747,800 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 95.4% along with 1,234 latest recovered.
According to the Ministry, 8,540 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Out of the total number of tests conducted on September 18, 10% were diagnosed positive and overall there were 19.2% people diagnosed positive till now.
Till now, the death toll has reached 11,028. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 16 people died on September 18. There are 25,082 people in home isolation. Morang, Sunsari, Jhapa, Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Makwanpur, Kavrepalanchok, Kaski, and Rupandehi, have more than 500 active cases.
On September 18, 2,818 people were tested through the antigen process among which 231 were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 88,890 people have been diagnosed positive with antigen process. The number of infected, cured, and active cases has not been separated into this number. According to the ministry, 5,561,855 people have been fully vaccinated till September 18.
