Update of September 15 Regarding COVID-19 Infection
The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 780,824 after additional 1,332 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on September 15, 2021. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 743,526 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 95.2% along with 1,220 latest recovered.
According to the Ministry, 12,524 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Out of the total number of tests conducted on September 15, 11% were diagnosed positive and overall there were 19.2% people diagnosed positive till now.
Till now, the death toll has reached 10,991. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 19 people died on September 15. There are 26,307 people in home isolation. Morang, Sunsari, Jhapa, Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Makwanpur, Kavrepalanchok, Nawalparasi East, Kaski, Rupandehi, and Surkhet have more than 500 active cases.
On September 15, 4,320people were tested through the antigen process among which 428 were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 87,841 people have been diagnosed positive with antigen process. The number of infected, cured, and active cases has not been separated into this number. According to the ministry, 5,415,427 people have been fully vaccinated till September 15.
