Update of September 13 Regarding COVID-19 Infection

The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 778,312 after additional 1,149 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on September 13, 2021. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 740,717 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 95.2% along with 1,260 latest recovered.

According to the Ministry, 12,532 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Out of the total number of tests conducted on September 13, 9% were diagnosed positive and overall there were 19.3% people diagnosed positive till now.

Till now, the death toll has reached 10,965. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 16 people died on September 13. There are 26,630 people in home isolation. Morang, Sunsari, Jhapa, Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Chitwan, Makwanpur, Kavrepalanchok, Nuwakot, Nawalparasi East, Baglung, Kaski, Rupandehi, and Surkhet have more than 500 active cases.

On September 13, 4,007 people were tested through the antigen process among which 337 were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 87,031 people have been diagnosed positive with antigen process. The number of infected, cured, and active cases has not been separated into this number. According to the ministry, 5,198,193 people have been fully vaccinated till September 13.
