Update of September 1 Regarding COVID-19 Infection

The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 764,295 after additional 1,648 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on September 1, 2021. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 719,336 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 94.1% along with 1,808 latest recovered.

According to the Ministry, 11,812 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Out of the total number of tests conducted on September 1, 16% were diagnosed positive and overall there were 19.5% people diagnosed positive till now.

Till now, the death toll has reached 10,770. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 20 people died on September 1. There are 34,189 people in home isolation. Morang, Sunsari, Jhapa, Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Chitwan, Makwanpur, Kavrepalanchok, Sindhupalchowk, Nuwakot, Nawalparasi East, Baglung, Kaski, Gorkha, Syangja, Tanahu, Dang, Rupandehi, and Surkhet have more than 500 active cases.

On September 1, 4,323 people were tested through the antigen process among which 404 were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 83,909 people have been diagnosed positive with antigen process. The number of infected, cured, and active cases has not been separated into this number. According to the ministry, 4,667,328 people have been fully vaccinated till September 1.
