Update of October 9 Regarding COVID-19 Infection
The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 801,633 after additional 636 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on October 9, 2021. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 775,072 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 96.7% along with 899 latest recovered.
According to the Ministry, 6,168 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Out of the total number of tests conducted on October 9, 10 were diagnosed positive and overall there were 18.7% people diagnosed positive till now.
Till now, the death toll has reached 11,221. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 11 people died on October 9. There are 15,340 people in home isolation. Morang, Sunsari, Jhapa, Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur and Rupandehi, have more than 500 active cases.
On October 9, 5,836 people were tested through the antigen process among which 124 were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 92,963 people have been diagnosed positive with antigen process. The number of infected, cured, and active cases has not been separated into this number. According to the Ministry, 6,446,957 people have been fully vaccinated till October 9.
