Update of October 7 Regarding COVID-19 Infection
The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 800,282 after additional 667 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on October 7, 2021. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 773,140 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 96.6% along with 911 latest recovered.
According to the Ministry, 7,264 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Out of the total number of tests conducted on October 7, nine were diagnosed positive and overall there were 18.8% people diagnosed positive till now.
Till now, the death toll has reached 11,200. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, six people died on October 7. There are 15,942 people in home isolation. Morang, Sunsari, Jhapa, Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur and Rupandehi, have more than 500 active cases.
On October 7, 3,408 people were tested through the antigen process among which 138 were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 92,790 people have been diagnosed positive with antigen process. The number of infected, cured, and active cases has not been separated into this number. According to the Ministry, 6,430,431 people have been fully vaccinated till October 7.
