Update of October 5 Regarding COVID-19 Infection
The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 798,766 after additional 762 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on October 5, 2021. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 771,338 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 96.6% along with 1,114 latest recovered.
According to the Ministry, 11,582 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Out of the total number of tests conducted on October 5, seven were diagnosed positive and overall there were 18.8% people diagnosed positive till now.
Till now, the death toll has reached 11,180. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, six people died on October 5. There are 16,248 people in home isolation. Morang, Sunsari, Jhapa, Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur and Rupandehi, have more than 500 active cases.
On October 5, 4,460 people were tested through the antigen process among which 206 were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 92,458 people have been diagnosed positive with antigen process. The number of infected, cured, and active cases has not been separated into this number. According to the Ministry, 6,409,196 people have been fully vaccinated till October 5.
