Update of October 31 Regarding COVID-19 Infection

The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 812,570 after additional 376 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on October 31, 2021. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 791,787 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 97.4% along with 518 latest recovered.

According to the Ministry, 5,731 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Out of the total number of tests conducted on October 31, 7% were diagnosed positive and overall there were 18.4% people diagnosed positive till now.

Till now, the death toll has reached 11,407. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, eight people died on October 31. There are 9,376 people in home isolation. Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur and Kaski have more than 500 active cases.

On October 31, 2,168 people were tested through the antigen process among which 32 were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 94,535 people have been diagnosed positive with antigen process. The number of infected, cured, and active cases has not been separated into this number. According to the Ministry, 7,189,689 people have been fully vaccinated till October 31.
