Update of October 29 Regarding COVID-19 Infection

The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 811,897 after additional 490 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on October 29, 2021. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 790,358 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 97.4% along with 569 latest recovered.

According to the Ministry, 7,145 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Out of the total number of tests conducted on October 29, 7% were diagnosed positive and overall there were 18.5% people diagnosed positive till now.

Till now, the death toll has reached 11,388. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, six people died on October 29. There are 10,151 people in home isolation. Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur and Kaski have more than 500 active cases.

On October 29, 2,601 people were tested through the antigen process among which 59 were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 94,428 people have been diagnosed positive with antigen process. The number of infected, cured, and active cases has not been separated into this number. According to the Ministry, 6,984,157 people have been fully vaccinated till October 29.
