Update of October 28 Regarding COVID-19 Infection
The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 811,407 after additional 527 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on October 28, 2021. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 789,789 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 97.3% along with 664 latest recovered.
According to the Ministry, 8,848 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Out of the total number of tests conducted on October 28, 6% were diagnosed positive and overall there were 18.5% people diagnosed positive till now.
Till now, the death toll has reached 11,382. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, two people died on October 28. There are 10,236 people in home isolation. Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur and Kaski have more than 500 active cases.
On October 28, 2,507 people were tested through the antigen process among which 64 were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 94,369 people have been diagnosed positive with antigen process. The number of infected, cured, and active cases has not been separated into this number. According to the Ministry, 6,865,665 people have been fully vaccinated till October 28.
