Update of October 27 Regarding COVID-19 Infection

The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 810,880 after additional 582 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on October 27, 2021. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 789,125 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 97.3% along with 495 latest recovered.

According to the Ministry, 7,167 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Out of the total number of tests conducted on October 27, 8% were diagnosed positive and overall there were 18.5% people diagnosed positive till now.

Till now, the death toll has reached 11,380. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, eight people died on October 27. There are 10,375 people in home isolation. Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur and Kaski have more than 500 active cases.

On October 27, 2,328 people were tested through the antigen process among which 90 were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 94,305 people have been diagnosed positive with antigen process. The number of infected, cured, and active cases has not been separated into this number. According to the Ministry, 6,770,154 people have been fully vaccinated till October 27.
