Update of October 26 Regarding COVID-19 Infection
The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 810,298 after additional 569 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on October 26, 2021. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 788,630 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 97.3% along with 622 latest recovered.
According to the Ministry, 9,771 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Out of the total number of tests conducted on October 26, 6% were diagnosed positive and overall there were 18.5% people diagnosed positive till now.
Till now, the death toll has reached 11,372. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 11 people died on October 26. There are 10,296 people in home isolation. Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur and Kaski have more than 500 active cases.
On October 26, 2,249 people were tested through the antigen process among which 97 were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 94,215 people have been diagnosed positive with antigen process. The number of infected, cured, and active cases has not been separated into this number. According to the Ministry, 6,709,905 people have been fully vaccinated till October 26.
