Update of October 22 Regarding COVID-19 Infection

The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 808,096 after additional 574 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on October 22, 2021. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 785,813 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 97.2% along with 932 latest recovered.
According to the Ministry, 7,253 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Out of the total number of tests conducted on October 22, 8% were diagnosed positive and overall there were 18.5% people diagnosed positive till now.
Till now, the death toll has reached 11,337. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 11 people died on October 22. There are 10,946 people in home isolation. Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur and Kaski, have more than 500 active cases.
On October 22, 2,123 people were tested through the antigen process among which 134 were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 93,905 people have been diagnosed positive with antigen process. The number of infected, cured, and active cases has not been separated into this number. According to the Ministry, 6,546,237 people have been fully vaccinated till October 22.
