Update of October 20 Regarding COVID-19 Infection

The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 807,052 after additional 535 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on October 20, 2021. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 784,155 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 97.1% along with 758 latest recovered.

According to the Ministry, 7,022 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Out of the total number of tests conducted on October 20, 8% were diagnosed positive and overall there were 18.6% people diagnosed positive till now.

Till now, the death toll has reached 11,318. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 13 people died on October 20. There are 11,579 people in home isolation. Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur and Kaski, have more than 500 active cases.

On October 20, 1,404 people were tested through the antigen process among which 127 were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 93,696 people have been diagnosed positive with antigen process. The number of infected, cured, and active cases has not been separated into this number. According to the Ministry, 6,489,828 people have been fully vaccinated till October 20.
