Update of October 19 Regarding COVID-19 Infection
The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 806,517 after additional 957 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on October 19, 2021. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 783,397 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 97.1% along with 1,004 latest recovered.
According to the Ministry, 8,140 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Out of the total number of tests conducted on October 19, 12% were diagnosed positive and overall there were 18.6% people diagnosed positive till now.
Till now, the death toll has reached 11,305. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 12 people died on October 19. There are 11,815 people in home isolation. Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur and Kaski, have more than 500 active cases.
On October 19, 1,776 people were tested through the antigen process among which 139 were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 93,569 people have been diagnosed positive with antigen process. The number of infected, cured, and active cases has not been separated into this number. According to the Ministry, 6,485,365 people have been fully vaccinated till October 19.
