Update of October 15 Regarding COVID-19 Infection
The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 804,516 after additional 240 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on October 15, 2021. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 779,931 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 96.9% along with 777 latest recovered.
According to the Ministry, 2,092 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Out of the total number of tests conducted on October 15, 11% were diagnosed positive and overall there were 18.7% people diagnosed positive till now.
Till now, the death toll has reached 11,277. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, eight people died on October 15. There are 13,308 people in home isolation. Morang, Sunsari, Jhapa, Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur and Rupandehi, have more than 500 active cases.
On October 15, 2,620 people were tested through the antigen process among which 32 were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 93,345 people have been diagnosed positive with antigen process. The number of infected, cured, and active cases has not been separated into this number. According to the Ministry, 6,469,159 people have been fully vaccinated till October 15.
