Update of October 14 Regarding COVID-19 Infection

The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 804,276 after additional 398 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on October 14, 2021. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 779,154 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 96.9% along with 804 latest recovered.

According to the Ministry, 3,418 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Out of the total number of tests conducted on October 14, 12% were diagnosed positive and overall there were 18.7% people diagnosed positive till now.

Till now, the death toll has reached 11,269. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, eight people died on October 14. There are 13,853 people in home isolation. Sunsari, Jhapa, Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Kaski and Rupandehi, have more than 500 active cases.

On October 14, 2,796 people were tested through the antigen process among which 57 were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 93,313 people have been diagnosed positive with antigen process. The number of infected, cured, and active cases has not been separated into this number. According to the Ministry, 6,469,159 people have been fully vaccinated till October 14.
