Update of October 13 Regarding COVID-19 Infection

The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 803,878 after additional 326 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on October 13, 2021. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 778,350 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 96.8% along with 609 latest recovered.

According to the Ministry, 3,671 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Out of the total number of tests conducted on October 13, nine percent were diagnosed positive and overall there were 18.7% people diagnosed positive till now.

Till now, the death toll has reached 11,261. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, four people died on October 13. There are 14,267 people in home isolation. Sunsari, Jhapa, Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Kaski and Rupandehi, have more than 500 active cases.

On October 13, 1,923 people were tested through the antigen process among which 39 were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 93,256 people have been diagnosed positive with antigen process. The number of infected, cured, and active cases has not been separated into this number. According to the Ministry, 6,468,890 people have been fully vaccinated till October 13.
