Update of October 12 Regarding COVID-19 Infection

The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 803,552 after additional 691 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on October 12, 2021. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 777,741 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 96.8% along with 910 latest recovered.

According to the Ministry, 7,060 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Out of the total number of tests conducted on October 12, 10% were diagnosed positive and overall there were 18.7% people diagnosed positive till now.

Till now, the death toll has reached 11,257. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 14 people died on October 13. There are 14,554 people in home isolation. Morang, Sunsari, Jhapa, Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Kaski and Rupandehi, have more than 500 active cases.

On October 12, 2,559 people were tested through the antigen process among which 101 were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 93,217 people have been diagnosed positive with antigen process. The number of infected, cured, and active cases has not been separated into this number. According to the Ministry, 6,468,775 people have been fully vaccinated till October 12.
