Update of October 10 Regarding COVID-19 Infection

The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 802,198 after additional 565 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on October 10, 2021. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 775,943 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 96.7% along with 899 latest recovered.

According to the Ministry, 9,237 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Out of the total number of tests conducted on October 10, six were diagnosed positive and overall there were 18.7% people diagnosed positive till now.

Till now, the death toll has reached 11,231. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 10 people died on October 10. There are 15,024 people in home isolation. Morang, Sunsari, Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur and Rupandehi, have more than 500 active cases.

On October 10, 3,167 people were tested through the antigen process among which 13 were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 92,994 people have been diagnosed positive with antigen process. The number of infected, cured, and active cases has not been separated into this number. According to the Ministry, 6,450,644 people have been fully vaccinated till October 10.
