Update of October 1 Regarding COVID-19 Infection
The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 795,995 after additional 834 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on October 1, 2021. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 766,696 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 96.3% along with 938 latest recovered.
According to the Ministry, 10,113 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Out of the total number of tests conducted on October 1, 8% were diagnosed positive and overall there were 18.9% people diagnosed positive till now.
Till now, the death toll has reached 11,148. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 13 people died on October 1. There are 18,115 people in home isolation. Morang, Sunsari, Jhapa, Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Makwanpur, Kaski, and Rupandehi, have more than 500 active cases.
On October 1, 3,255 people were tested through the antigen process among which 168 were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 91,721 people have been diagnosed positive with antigen process. The number of infected, cured, and active cases has not been separated into this number. According to the Ministry, 6,329,327 people have been fully vaccinated till October 1.
