Update of November 8 Regarding COVID-19 Infection
The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 814,929 after additional 371 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on November 8, 2021. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 795,822 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 97.7% along with 425 latest recovered.
According to the Ministry, 2,606 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Out of the total number of tests conducted on November 8, 14% were diagnosed positive and overall there were 18.3% people diagnosed positive till now.
Till now, the death toll has reached 11,453. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, five people died on November 8. There are 7,654 people in home isolation. Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur have more than 500 active cases.
On November 8, 2,420 people were tested through the antigen process among which 19 were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 94,836 people have been diagnosed positive with antigen process. The number of infected, cured, and active cases has not been separated into this number. According to the Ministry, 7,436,714 people have been fully vaccinated till November 8.
