Update of November 6 Regarding COVID-19 Infection

The number of COVID-19 infected people have reached 188,883 after additional 2,909 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on November 6, 2020. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 152,908 have been discharged after recovery. On November 6, the rate of recovery reached 81% along with the 4,500 latest discharged after treatment. The ministry reported that 34,905 people are being treated. Out of which, 28,993 are in home isolation, 380 are being treated in ICU and 83 are being treated with the support of the ventilators. Till now, the death toll has reached 1,070. According to the Ministry, 10,156 number of swabs tests were conducted in the past 24 hours.

In Gandaki Province,

According to Kaski representative Sushan Ghimire, the entire service of Rupa rural municipality has been suspended since November 6 after the COVID-19 infection was confirmed in the employees. Rural Municipality Chairperson Nawaraj Ojha informed that the office has been closed from November 6 to 8 as an employee has been diagnosed positive for COVID-19 in the village.

According to Myagdi representative Amrit Prasad Poudel, it has been decided to seal Beni municipality for one more week. All services except the essential ones were closed for one week from October 30 to November 6. A meeting of the District COVID-19 Crisis Management Centre on November 6 decided to seal Beni Municipality from November 6 to 13.
