Update of December 1 Regarding COVID-19 Infection

The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 821,651 after additional 285 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on December 1, 2021. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 803,168 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 97.7% along with 259 latest recovered.

According to the Ministry, 10,919 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Out of the total number of tests conducted on December 1, 3% were diagnosed positive and overall there were 17.7% people diagnosed positive till now.Till now, the death toll has reached 11,529. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, three people died on December 1. There are 6,954 people in home isolation. Kathmandu and Lalitpur have more than 500 active cases.

On December 1, 1,808 people were tested through the antigen process among which 31 were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 95,529 people have been diagnosed positive with antigen process. The number of infected, cured, and active cases has not been separated into this number. According to the Ministry, 8,514,684 people have been fully vaccinated till December 1.
