Update of November 3 Regarding COVID-19 Infection

The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 813,828 after additional 395 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on November 3, 2021. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 793,271 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 97.5% along with 439 latest recovered.

According to the Ministry, 3,336 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Out of the total number of tests conducted on November 3, 6% were diagnosed positive and overall there were 18.3% people diagnosed positive till now.

Till now, the death toll has reached 11,434. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, seven people died on November 3. There are 9,123 people in home isolation. Kathmandu, Lalitpur ad Bhaktapur have more than 500 active cases.

On November 3, 353 people were tested through the antigen process among which 52 were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 94,726 people have been diagnosed positive with antigen process. The number of infected, cured, and active cases has not been separated into this number. According to the Ministry, 7,381,202 people have been fully vaccinated till November 3.

According to Sindhupalchowk representative Natibabu Dhital, the District Administration Office has issued a district-wide prohibitory order from November 3 to November 16, due to the increase in the spread of COVID-19. As per the order issued by Chief District Officer Bedanidhi Khanal on November 2, the prohibitory order has been issued at all local levels of the district following the decision of the Council of Ministers and Section 2 of the Infectious Diseases Act 2020 and Sub-section 3 of Section 6 of the Local Administration Act 2028.
