Update of November 27 Regarding COVID-19 Infection

The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 229,343 after additional 1,703 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on November 27, 2020. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 210,671 have recovered. On November 27, the rate of recovery reached 91.9% along with the 1,236 latest recovered. The ministry reported that 17,237 people are being treated. Out of which, 10,944 are in home isolation, 354 are being treated in ICU, and 54 are being treated with the support of the ventilators. Till now, the death toll has reached 1,435. According to the Ministry, 10,460 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. There aren’t any active cases in Manang and Dolpa while Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, and Kaski, have more than 500 active cases.

In Gandaki Province,

According to Tanahu Representative Prakash Chandra Bhattarai, the service of Myagde Rural Municipality-7 has been suspended till December 3 after a man died due to COVID-19 near the ward office. Ward Chairperson Padma Raj Wagle said that the service of the ward office has been suspended from November 27 to December 3 after the ward office published a notice. Chief administrative officer of the village Narayan Prasad Adhikari said that it has been decided to stop all services from the ward office until the report is received after tracing the contact of the family of the deceased and his close ones.

In Sudur Paschim Province

According to Baitadi representative Nari Badu, the police station of Dilashaini Rural Municipality-3 has been closed after all the nine policemen working at a police station were diagnosed COVID-19 positive. The service provided by the police station has been stopped. There are 18 infected people in Dasharathchanda municipality, 10 in Dilashaini municipality, four in Purchaudi municipality and one each in Surnaya, Pancheshwor and Dogadakedar.
