Update of November 26 Regarding COVID-19 Infection
The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 227,640 after additional 1,614 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on November 26, 2020. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 209,435 have recovered. On November 26, the rate of recovery reached 92% along with the 1,412 latest recovered. The ministry reported that 16,793 people are being treated. Out of which, 10,575 are in home isolation, 333 are being treated in ICU, and 56 are being treated with the support of the ventilators. Till now, the death toll has reached 1,389. According to the Ministry, 9,435 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. There aren’t any active cases in Manang, Dolpa and Mugu while Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, and Kaski, have more than 500 active cases.

According to Pyuthan representative, Rabindra Pandey, the district level COVID Crisis Management Centre has decided to re-open the schools on November 22 by meeting the health standards of the schools that have been closed for a long time due to COVID-19. Government and private schools in Mallarani Rural Municipality-5 have been closed for seven days from November 25 to December 1 as soon as COVID-9 positive people were found at the community level, Currently, out of nine local levels in the district, schools of Swargadwari Municipality, Mallarani Municipality and Airavati Municipality have come into operation.
