Update of November 17 Regarding COVID-19 Infection

The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 818,035 after additional 363 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on November 17, 2021. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 798,916 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 97.7% along with 202 latest recovered.

According to the Ministry, 10,106 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Out of the total number of tests conducted on November 17, 4% were diagnosed positive and overall there were 18.1% people diagnosed positive till now.

Till now, the death toll has reached 11,483. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, one person died on November 17. There are 7,636 people in home isolation. Kathmandu and Lalitpur have more than 500 active cases.

On November 17, 1,887 people were tested through the antigen process among which 49 were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 95,223 people have been diagnosed positive with antigen process. The number of infected, cured, and active cases has not been separated into this number. According to the Ministry, 7,675,899 people have been fully vaccinated till November 17.
