Update of November 16 Regarding COVID-19 Infection

The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 817,672 after additional 339 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on November 16, 2021. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 798,714 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 97.7% along with 170 latest recovered.

According to the Ministry, 6,505 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Out of the total number of tests conducted on November 16, 5% were diagnosed positive and overall there were 18.1% people diagnosed positive till now.

Till now, the death toll has reached 11,482. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, four people died on November 16. There are 7,476 people in home isolation. Kathmandu and Lalitpur have more than 500 active cases.

On November 16, 2,644 people were tested through the antigen process among which 38 were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 95,174 people have been diagnosed positive with antigen process. The number of infected, cured, and active cases has not been separated into this number. According to the Ministry, 7,624,038 people have been fully vaccinated till November 16.
