Update of May 31 Regarding COVID-19 Infection
The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 979,140 after additional eight new cases were detected positive in Nepal on May 31, 2022. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 967,091 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 98.8% along with the 13 latest recovered. There are 97 active infected cases at present.
According to the Ministry, 2,085 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Till now, the death toll has reached 11,952. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, no death was recorded. On May 31, 962 people were tested through the antigen process and one was diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 140,236 people have been diagnosed positive with the antigen method. The number of infected, cured, and active cases has not been separated in this data. Till May 31, 19,831,322 people have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
