Update of May 2 Regarding COVID-19 Infection
The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 978,836 after additional eight new cases were detected positive in Nepal on May 2, 2022. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 966,674 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 98.8% along with 18 latest recovered. There are 211 active infected cases at present.
According to the Ministry, 3,333 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Till now, the death toll has reached 11,951. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, there were no deaths recorded. On May 2, 922 people were tested through the antigen process and one was diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 140,193 people have been diagnosed positive with the antigen method. The number of infected, cured, and active cases has not been separated in this data. Till May 2, 19,596,394 people have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
