Update of May 19 Regarding COVID-19 Infection
The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 979,040 after additional 12 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on May 19, 2022. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 966,938 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 98.8% along with the nine latest recovered. There are 150 active infected cases at present.
According to the Ministry, 2,580 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Till now, the death toll has reached 11,952. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, no death was recorded. On May 19, 1,047 people were tested through the antigen process and no one was diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 140,209 people have been diagnosed positive with the antigen method. The number of infected, cured, and active cases has not been separated in this data. Till May 19, 19,747,028 people have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
