Update of May 17 Regarding COVID-19 Infection
The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 979,022 after additional 18 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on May 17, 2022. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 966,921 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 98.8% along with the eight latest recovered. There are 149 active infected cases at present.
According to the Ministry, 3,565 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Till now, the death toll has reached 11,952. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, no death was recorded. On May 17, 632 people were tested through the antigen process and no one was diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 140,209 people have been diagnosed positive with the antigen method. The number of infected, cured, and active cases has not been separated in this data. Till May 17, 19,740,770 people have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
