Update of May 16 Regarding COVID-19 Infection
The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 979,004 after additional six new cases were detected positive in Nepal on May 16, 2022. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 966,913 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 98.8% along with the nine latest recovered. There are 139 active infected cases at present.
According to the Ministry, 1,546 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Till now, the death toll has reached 11,952. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, no death was recorded. On May 16, 1,239 people were tested through the antigen process and one was diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 140,208 people have been diagnosed positive with the antigen method. The number of infected, cured, and active cases has not been separated in this data. Till May 16, 19,740,770 people have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
