Update of May 1 Regarding COVID-19 Infection
The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 978,828 after additional 18 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on May 1, 2022. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 966,656 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 98.7% along with 27 latest recovered. There are 221 active infected cases at present.
According to the Ministry, 2,508 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Till now, the death toll has reached 11,951. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, there were no deaths recorded. On May 1, 714 people were tested through the antigen process and two were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 140,192 people have been diagnosed positive with the antigen method. The number of infected, cured, and active cases has not been separated in this data. Till May 1, 19,591,350 people have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
