Update of March 9 Regarding COVID-19 Infection
The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 977,709 after additional 68 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on March 9, 2022. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 960,068 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 98.2% along with 251 latest recovered. There are 5,692 active infected cases at present.
According to the Ministry, 6,936 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Out of the total number of tests conducted on March 9, 1% were diagnosed positive and overall there were 17.9% people diagnosed positive till now.
Till now, the death toll has reached 11,949. On March 9, 3,156 people were tested through the antigen process among which 156 were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 139,843 people have been diagnosed positive with the antigen method. The number of infected, cured, and active cases has not been separated in this data. Till March 9, 18,200,930 people have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
