Update of March 3 Regarding COVID-19 Infection

The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 977,269 after additional 70 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on March 3, 2022. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 957,808 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 98% along with 320 latest recovered. There are 7,517 active infected cases at present.

According to the Ministry, 2,448 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Out of the total number of tests conducted on March 3, 3% were diagnosed positive and overall there were 18% people diagnosed positive till now.

Till now, the death toll has reached 11,944. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, three died on March 3. Kathmandu and Lalitpur have more than 500 active cases.

On March 3, 2,467 people were tested through the antigen process among which four were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 139,492 people have been diagnosed positive with the antigen method. The number of infected, cured, and active cases has not been separated in this data. Till March 2, 17,648,060 people have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
