Update of March 2 Regarding COVID-19 Infection

The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 977,199 after additional 123 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on March 2, 2022. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 957,488 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 98% along with 321 latest recovered. There are 7,770 active infected cases at present.

According to the Ministry, 4,672 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Out of the total number of tests conducted on March 2, 3% were diagnosed positive and overall there were 18% people diagnosed positive till now.

Till now, the death toll has reached 11,941. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, three died on March 2. Kathmandu and Lalitpur have more than 500 active cases.

On March 2, 2,202 people were tested through the antigen process among which four were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 139,457 people have been diagnosed positive with the antigen method. The number of infected, cured, and active cases has not been separated in this data. Till March 2, 17,567,825 people have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
