Update of March 18 Regarding COVID-19 Infection

The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 978,119 after additional 12 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on March 18, 2022. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 962,173 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 98.4% along with 213 latest recovered. There are 3,996 active infected cases at present.

According to the Ministry, 2,592 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Out of the total number of tests conducted on March 18, 1% were diagnosed positive and overall there were 17.9% people diagnosed positive till now.

Till now, the death toll has reached 11,950. On March 18, 3,322 people were tested through the antigen process among which 39 were diagnosed positive with COVID-19. Till date, 140,061 people have been diagnosed positive with the antigen method. The number of infected, cured, and active cases has not been separated in this data. Till March 18, 18,698,595 people have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
